When the song is over, the mic is turned off, the lights are dimmed, all the glitter and glamour shed, and I am left alone with my own thoughts, free to contemplate the paths that led me to where I am today, I pause to give thanks.

Cece Winans

When I was in my early twenties, I sang in a gospel choir at a Baptist church in South Central Los Angeles. The memories I have of Friday night rehearsals and Sunday service, fill my heart with inspiration and a calling to sing again. This song, Cece Winans, the gratitude and uplifting feelings I experience as I listen to this song, are so powerful and I feel compelled to share it right here, in this sacred space, with you.

Move the immovable. Break the unbreakable. From the impossible, we’ll see a miracle.

God we Believe for it.

It doesn’t matter what it looks like.

God, I’m standing on your word.

You Said. I Believe.
