The Tale of Two Wolves 🐺♥️🐺 One evening, an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, “My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, doubt, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, forgiveness, truth, compassion, and faith. The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather; “Which wolf wins?” The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.” This old legend, of unknown origin, aligns with my thinking very much. It brings me to this idea of ‘Choice.’ I have learned that I have a choice about whom and what I let into my life. I have learned that my life is what my thoughts make it. The saying goes that we should be kind because we never know what someone else is going through. We may judge and believe we know another by what we see on the outside; but we don’t. There are so many layers to each of us. So many obstacles and challenges we’ve overcome. I fall down, get back up, and fight again. I use these challenges as opportunities to stand firmly in my strength and trust, once again. I Never give up. I Never allow the difficulties to be stronger than my willingness and ability to overcome them. I choose to be hopeful. I choose Peace. I choose Love. Always. Metamorphosis I never wish to be easily defined. Like a butterfly I’ve earned these wings and I revel in the Freedom of Flight My heart yearns to travel along winding roads, clear skies Unknown pathways This longing soul needs Movement. Depth. Stimulation. For a period of time I turned in my fluttering appendages Shed my skin over and over and allowed TRANSFORMATION to materialize I embraced all I resisted I exhaled the darkness I nurtured the wounds and turned the gaping holes into gateways for the Light to shine through I realized I needed to strengthen my foundation and find grounding within my stance before I could once again take flight Thank you, dear cocoon for enveloping me with your protection as I unraveled these pieces of my soul and my heart within you May I continue to disentangle and rebuild this chamber as I Rise Up Stronger than before with enhanced colors sturdy wings and this shifted perspective through the marvelous, Extraordinary Gift of another chance New Possibilities Evolution and Rebirth. As I stop to take a minute and reflect upon the tr

As I stop to take a minute and reflect upon the tremendous gratitude I feel in each moment, I am often reminded of how precious this life is. On October 28, 2013, there was a terrorist attack in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. We were standing in the exact location just minutes before it took place. I clearly recall the mystical, smoke-filled air from the burning incense… I was peacefully taking in the breathtaking details of the architecture and the profound depth of history surrounding us… I remember suddenly being called away by my boys, just seconds before the car plowed through, as they asked to light an incense and make a wish. This moment and this prayer; I will never forget. This prayer gave us more time… This prayer was for the peace of those whose lives were about to be taken and the gift of more time we would each be granted. I cherish each minute and every breath. I acknowledge and embrace the fragility of this existence. I love with my whole heart and beyond. I appreciate every second I get to be here. These narrow escapes always serve as reminders. May we each stop for just a minute today and take in all of the love and beauty around us. It is there, even when you can’t see it. Even during the challenging times. It is there. Also, please remember this; Never Be Ashamed of Your Mighty, Open Heart and Do Not Apologize for Being Exactly Who You Are Meant To Be in this Precious Life. Welcome to Tuesday. Another Day.
