It’s never too late to play a game you love. It’s never too late to become who you aspire to be. It’s never too late to show up for your life with the strength and courage to BE your authentic self. It’s never too late to tell the story you want and sometimes, need, to tell. Thank you, my boys, for loving this life and what you do so much and for showing and teaching me the intriguing game of lacrosse and the courageous feat of cross-country running as I’ve never seen or experienced them before. Reminders. ♥️ Life is thickly sewn with thorns, and I know no other remedy than to pass quickly through them. The longer we dwell on our misfortunes, the greater is their power to harm us. ~ Voltaire Good afternoon and welcome to this precious gift of a day. This tiny, bright heart appeared, just as I exited my car a little while ago. I was in the middle of a thought and I looked down to witness this simple reminder. I always do my best to observe, listen, pay attention and be present. I truly look for the good and I stand firmly for peace. It is necessary, for me, to possess mental toughness in this life. We must be willing to put in the work in order to defy the odds set against us. What harms us and robs us of our peace, is only what we allow to do so. We have the power and capability to master our own minds and our own thoughts. As the quote above states, the thorns will present themselves and persist. The questions are; will we recognize the intrusions, and will we allow the forces of negativity to swiftly pass through as we proceed onward? It is up to us. These little hearts I encounter in a day serve not only as reminders of the love surrounding me, but also serve as poignant testimonies to the truth I believe in and trust, and the love and gratitude I choose to embrace and share. May we continue, as we step into this day and the next, to armor our minds with Strength, Will, and HEART. Be the Warrior. ♥️ Sandy

Good morning 💚 As we wrap up the first semest

Good morning 💚 As we wrap up the first semester of 8th and 9th grade today, I am reminded of the insightful, meaningful conversations these brothers have had together since they first discovered the amazing world of imagination and communication. On this day in Dublin, 9 years ago, I captured this moment as they were pondering black holes and the concept of time. The way they listen and take the time to truly hear one another’s thoughts is a gift they don’t even realize they are giving and receiving but one day, they will know. Today, Physics and Math are on the agenda for finals, and the seeds planted during that conversation and so many others, will somehow contribute and be present in their thoughts as they navigate through their academics and perceptions of this life. May we all be seen and heard today, by someone. Wishing you a beautiful weekend. ♥️ Sandy

Courage. ♥️ Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them. Ralph Waldo Emerson Monkey Forest. Ubud, Bali I have spent a lot of time with the monkeys in Ubud. This is one of my favorite places on earth. As I sat with this particular one for a while, after sharing the protein bar in my bag that he helped himself to, I connected to the idea of our thoughts and how they dictate each move we make, each step we take, and conversely, each one we don’t. As I witnessed and experienced the depth of this moment, I considered the courage it takes to allow ourselves to sit like this; deep within our own thoughts and reflection; willing to see things as they are. Having the strength and willingness to choose how we will formulate these thoughts as we proceed forward. My hope is that we can step forth into this day, into each moment, knowing wholeheartedly, that we are braver than we know. We are stronger than we believe and we will not only face this day, but we will positively thrive in it.
