Motherhood: My Truest Purpose. 🤍

One of the most challenging realizations in life, and one of the most liberating, is understanding that our mothers and we,

are neither saints; nor saviors.

We are just people who, no matter how messy,

no matter how wonderful,

no matter how painful our childhood may have been,

no matter how complicated our adult relationships are,

we LOVE in the best way we know how, with the cards we were dealt, and with the tools we each have.

It is a whole life’s work to accept and embrace this elemental fact,

and a life’s triumph to accept it, not with bitterness, but with Love.

Sending warm and peaceful wishes to

those with healthy mother relationships,

those with strained mother relationships,

those who have lost mothers,

mothers who have lost children,

those expecting,

those who are mothers,

those who never had a mother,

those who long to be mothers,

and those choosing not to be mothers.

May we all step into this day with joy in our hearts and

May we take a moment to reflect on our gratitude for each precious moment

of this extraordinary existence.
